The short version
- We only collect what you send us: your name, contact details and what you want to build.
- We use it to reply to you and to prepare a quote. Nothing else.
- Chats with Mr. Octo are saved without your contact details, to help him answer better.
- Clients who sign in see only their own plan, payments and requests.
- It is stored with Google Firebase. Only the IN SYNC team can read it.
- We never sell it, rent it or use it for ads.
- Ask us any time for a copy, a correction or deletion, on WhatsApp, by phone or by email.

Who we are
IN SYNC is a small hybrid tech and creative studio in India, run by Himanshu and Ashish. We build apps, websites, brands, digital media and print for businesses. This policy covers this website, insync-studio.web.app, and the ways you can reach us from it. Who we are: IN SYNC, run by Himanshu Bairagi and Ashish Nandardhane, Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the DPDP Act), we are the “Data Fiduciary” for the details you give us, and you are the “Data Principal”.
What we collect, and from where
The project brief form
When you send a brief (from “Start a project”, the project starter or “Finish my brief”), we receive:
- your name, email address, WhatsApp number and city
- your company name, if you add one
- the services you ticked, your idea in your own words, and your timeline
- where you came from: a short code from the link you used (for example a QR code at a café) and the name of the website that sent you, never the full address
The form also opens WhatsApp with your brief already written, so you can send it to us. The brief you download stays on your device.
The Mr. Octo chat
Mr. Octo is the chat in the corner of the page. What you type, and any photo you attach, is sent to our chat service so it can answer you. A photo is used for that one answer and is not stored. When you give your name, a phone number or email and what you need, those details and the messages you wrote in the chat are saved for the team, just like a brief.
To help Mr. Octo learn, we also save a copy of every chat with names, phone numbers, email addresses, UPI IDs and long numbers (payment references, card or account numbers) taken out before it leaves your browser. The team reads these copies to see what people ask. Mr. Octo also learns from them on his own, but only answers that our own pages and terms already say; we check what he learns and remove anything wrong. We delete these copies after 12 months.
Your client account
Clients can sign in at insync-studio.web.app/account with their Google account. Signing in gives us your name, email address and profile picture from Google; we never see your Google password. With it you see only the records linked to your email address: your plan, payments and receipts, devices, the quotes we sent you, and what you asked us. The emails linked to a plan are the ones you registered with or asked us to add.
When you renew, you pay us directly by UPI or bank transfer: we never see your UPI PIN, card or bank login. You tell us the payment reference, and we confirm it once the money has arrived. What you send from the account page (a payment reference, a help request, accepting a quote) is saved for the team with your email address.
While you are signed in, Mr. Octo can read the same records to answer your questions. He cannot change anything; his buttons send requests that the team answers. Signed out, he knows nothing about your account.
Signed in, Mr. Octo also remembers your recent chat and keeps a short note about you (for example the language you like or a problem still open), so the conversation carries on on any device. You see that note on your account page and can clear it at any time; only you and the team can read it.
Festival greetings orders
When you order festival greetings at /greetings, we keep the details you fill in: your name, business, phone and WhatsApp numbers, city, state, PIN code, and, if you give them, your website and email. We also keep the logo, contact list and note you upload. Razorpay handles the payment and tells us only that it went through, with its payment reference; we never see your card, UPI PIN or bank login. We use the contact list only to make your greetings and delete it when your plan's year ends, or sooner if you ask.
WhatsApp and phone calls
If you message or call us on +91 97668 06261 or +91 95183 48806, we see your number, your name as it appears on WhatsApp, and what you send us. WhatsApp is run by Meta under its own privacy policy.
What we do not collect
No advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics. The site remembers a few small things in your own browser: whether you paused the motion on the page, the chat in your current tab, and, if you signed in, that you did (Google's sign-in keeps you signed in until you sign out). Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, usually the same day, on WhatsApp, phone or email.
- To understand what you need and send you a quote.
- If you become a client: to deliver and support the work we agree.
We use your details only with your consent, which you give by sending them to us, and only for these purposes. We do not send marketing messages unless you ask for them.

Who sees it
Only the IN SYNC team: Himanshu (apps and technology) and Ashish (design, media and print), through our private desk, which needs a team login. We never sell, rent or share your details for advertising. The services above process data for us, and we share details with anyone else only if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for 24 months after our last conversation, so we can pick up where we left off, and then delete it. If you become a client, we keep project and billing records for as long as the law requires (for example for tax and GST records, 8 years). You can ask us to delete an enquiry sooner at any time.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- ask what details we hold about you and get a summary or a copy
- ask us to correct, complete or update them
- withdraw your consent and ask us to delete them
- name someone to act for you if you cannot
- complain to us, and then to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied
Send the request from the number or email you used with us, so we know it is you. We reply within 7 days and act on it within 30 days.
Children
This site is for businesses. Please do not send us a brief if you are under 18; ask a parent or guardian to contact us.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use details you already gave us, we will ask you first.
